Rotary Club of Idaho Falls celebrates 100 years

The Rotary Club of Idaho Falls is celebrating its centennial anniversary. It was established in February of 1918. Today, they have 150 active members. They are the fourth club in Idaho Falls to reach this centennial milestone. They say their biggest purpose is helping the communities around them.

“Rotary is people in action, is what rotary is,” said Steve Poulsen, president of the Rotary Club of Idaho Falls. “Our motto is service above self. So it’s about giving to the community, taking care of the community and our community is Idaho Falls obviously, but it’s the world.”

The Rotary Club of Idaho Falls contributes a lot to the local community including the Great Snake River Greenbelt Duck Race and smaller projects such as supporting parks and recreation.
