More scattered storms and showers through Saturday

A Flash Flood Watch is active for the Big Rock burn scar near Heise. The National Weather Service expects showers and thunderstorms across the region Friday, Saturday and Monday night.

Heavy rainfall over the burn scar poses a risk of flash flooding and debris flows. The storm activity is driven by the remnants of a West Coast upper-level trough tracking through the region, generating widespread showers and thunderstorms capable of producing wetting rains.

Clouds will increase overnight with a low temperature around 49°, accompanied by south winds of 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. On Saturday, the high temperature will reach near the mid 70's, with a 60% chance of precipitation. Rain is possible before 9 a.m., followed by a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., with showers and possible thunderstorms likely after 4 p.m.

Clearer conditions arrive Sunday, which will be sunny with a high near 80° and a low around 50 degrees overnight. We'll still see a few isolated thunderstorms for Sunday afternoon and evening

Monday will remain mostly sunny with a high near 82° before storm activity returns Monday night, bringing a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight and rain after midnight with a low near 52°.
