Morning rain and afternoon storms

Clouds and moisture cover the valley and upper Snake plain, diluting the smoke some. It will be dreary with sun and heat poking through after lunch and better chances of thunderstorms scattered from INL to Island Park, Idaho Falls, Menan, Roberts, Driggs, and Jackson. Salmon has some breaks from clouds and will be warmer than most everyone at 91 degrees. Upper 70's for mountain towns and mid to upper 80's for the valley. 86 in Idaho Falls and 89 in Pocatello. SW winds 10-23mph and gusty around storms.

Heavy rain is possible and even small hail with isolated quick thunderstorms. Lows around 60 tonight as we clear into Wednesday before another storm chance for the valley by Friday.
