District 25 participating in Sleep in Heavenly Peace bunk bed build

For the third year, the Pocatello-Chubbuck school district is participating in the Sleep in Heavenly Peace bunk bed build, an event aimed at giving beds to those in need.

The event will be held on October 12th and 13th.

The event generally draws about 100 volunteers who are able to produce 60 bunk beds. This year the district is looking to build more beds but is limited by costs.

Each bed costs $175 to build and comes with a new mattress, sheets, blankets and a homemade quilt.

The district is looking for donations to help meet the goal of more beds.
