Buck Creek fire under full suppression
Bridger-Teton National Forest firefighters have launched a full-suppression attack on a new fire south of Hoback on the southern tip of the Beaver Mountain ridge top. Initial reports at 12:09 p.m. Wednesday put the fire at about one-tenth of an acre, burning on the ground in a group of trees.
Two helitack firefighters were dropped off to initiate a full suppression action on the so-called Buck Creek fire The Jackson Ranger District said no structures were threatened. The cause of the fire was unknown.
The forest, and the rest of unincorporated western Wyoming is under Stage 1 fire restrictions. Most campfires and grills are not allowed and designated campground in a provided ring.
