Woman charged with 2 robberies
A Blackfoot woman, who has ties with the man who shot a Bingham County Sheriff’s deputy last Friday, was charged Monday.
A Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office report shows Denise Lynn Williams helped a man, later identified as Juan Santos-Quintero, rob two men outside the Panda Express in Ammon Sept.15.
One of the victims said they were punched in the face and struck with a handgun. They also say the robber took $102 dollars from him. The second robber, identified as Williams, took two shopping bags from the second victim.
The two suspects were driving a stolen 1998 Ford Expedition that was reported missing on Sept. 14.
The truck was later found abounded on Sept. 17.
The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office used surveillance footage to identify Williams outside the Panda Express.
Williams was also seen as the passenger on Sept. 16 during a Common Cents convenience store robbery on Broadway.
Deputies believe she was with Santos-Quintero in these robberies.
Williams was arrested in Firth last Friday but was not involved in the standoff between Santos-Quintero.
She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Oct. 5 at 1:30 p.m. for two counts of robbery. The hearing will take place at the Bonneville County Courthouse.
