Police warn about phone scam
The Rigby Police Department reports they have received a second notice that someone is calling people and falsely informing them that a family member has been in an accident.
According to police, the scammer is requesting money on the family member’s behalf.
Police say, “Do not trust them.”
Officials ask you inform anyone you know who may be susceptible to this to not trust such a phone call.
