ISU Homecoming events underway

It’s homecoming week at Idaho State University.

Friday night was the alumni dinner, which sold out, bringing in more than 300 people.

Ryan Sargent, director of alumni relations at ISU, said homecoming is about bringing everyone together so it’s important to have the community as involved as possible.

He also added that it’s important to bring back alumni who have contributed to ISU and see the changes happening.

“It’s my favorite part of the year,” Sargent said. “It is so fun to work on campus and to see people come back. Our campus has changed a lot over the past few years and so it’s always fun to see people who haven’t been here for a little while, come back and see how beautiful our campus is and the changes we’ve made as we advance as an institution.”

Sargent said last year’s homecoming events had a great turnout and they’re hoping it will be even better this year.

“I think it’s going to be even bigger this year,” he said. “Our ticket sales are very high right now. In fact, I think Holt Arena might sell out and be full so be sure and get your tickets now. You can do that by calling 282-FANS or go on the holt arena website. But definitely show up early if you don’t already have your tickets because they’re going fast. It’s going to be a great game and a packed house.”

ISU is set to play the Northern Arizona lumberjacks, with kickoff set for 2:35 p.m.
