UPDATE: Blackfoot mother confirms she and daughter are alright

UPDATE:

Amber has reached out to Missing Juveniles of Idaho’s Teresa Hughes and confirmed that she and her daughter Debbie are alright. They wouldn’t say where they currently are though.

ORIGINAL STORY:

This morning, all around Blackfoot, family and friends of Amber Roy and her nine-year-old daughter Debbie, were searching for any signs of them.

The two were last seen at Ridley’s supermarket in Blackfoot on Friday, but this sighting has not been verified.

Today, the search party was around the Rose Pond area. ATV’s, off-road vehicles and others plowed over weeds, in search of anything.

So far, they have nothing.

Amber has heart and kidney problems, as well as epilepsy, adding to their worries.

They have no idea where the pair is but believe they’re still in the Blackfoot area.

“Something sticks out, for some reason,” Teresa Hughes of Missing Juveniles in Idaho said. “I have a feeling that she’s out here somewhere and that’s why we’re here right now.”

Hughes doesn’t care how long it takes, she’s not giving up on the search.

“I’m not gonna give up until she’s home. If I have to be out here every day, this is what I’ll do,” Hughes said.

Someone told the family that a woman named “Britney” was escorting Amber to Oregon, but again, they were not able to confirm this.

Carma Jensen, a member of the search party, told me she believes stress is what triggered Amber.

“She is really emotional. She needs a lot of family and friends supports. And I don’t really think she realizes she has that in us,” Jensen said.

Amber and Debbie had recently moved to Idaho from Texas, following the deaths of some family members.

“She came here to be with family,” Jensen said.

Now all her family wants is a sign.

They were last seen in a black, 2006 Nissan Murano.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Amber and Debbie should contact the Blackfoot Police Department.
