123 children rescued following human trafficking sting
Multiple police agencies worked together to rescue more than 120 missing children in Michigan.
The U.S. Marshals Service said the one-day sting took place back on Sept. 26 in Wayne County, and Michigan State Police assisted with the sting.
It’s reported that out of 301 files of missing children, 123 were identified and recovered safely during the operation. All 123 children were physically located and interviewed about potentially being sexually victimized or used in a sex trafficking ring during their period of time that they were deemed missing.
In addition, three sex trafficking cases were reportedly uncovered in Wayne County.
