Idaho State preps for a showdown with another Mountain West foe in San Diego State

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - The Idaho State Bengals are gearing up for another road trip south, as ISU will battle San Diego State in San Diego Saturday night.

Idaho State had a week 1 bye with a week 0 game, which gave the Bengals two weeks to prep for the Aztecs, a good opportunity to get better according to Head Coach Charlie Ragle.

"There are certainly pluses to it," Ragle said. "When you're going to go play a team like San Diego State, you probably need about three byes. But it certainly helps us having that break between UNLV and San Diego State.

"Top to bottom, they're a well-coached team in all three phases, offense, defense, and special teams, and we're going to have to go out and play a heck of a football game."

Kickoff Saturday night in San Diego is set for 6:00 p.m. MT as the Bengals seek their first win of the season.
