Idaho State drops home opener to Central Arkansas 31-16

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) - In their first home game of the season at Holt Arena, Idaho State got off to a rough start, losing to Central Arkansas 31-16.

The Bengals went up 3-0 after the 1st quarter, but were then outscored 28-0 in the 2nd and 3rd by the Bears to put the game out of reach.

One standout for ISU was sophomore receiver Benjamin Omayebu, who scored a pair of touchdowns in the 4th to make it a respectable outcome.

Next up for the Bengals is a trip to Greeley, Colorado on Saturday in a matchup with Northern Colorado at 1 p.m.

The Bengals will return to Holt Arena on Oct. 1 facing Montana at 1 p.m.
