Man under investigation for Angie Dodge’s murder pleads not guilty
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - Brian Leigh Dripps, the man who is under investigation for the murder of Angie Dodge in 1996, appeared in court Monday.
The Judge read Dripps the two charges against him, after which, he gave his plea.
"Account one is a charge of murder of the first degree, how do you plead?" said Judge Joel Tingey.
"Not guilty," replied Dripps.
"Account two is a charge of rape, how do you plead?" said Tingey.
"Not guilty," replied Dripps.
If he is found guilty of rape, he could face a potential penalty of life in prison, and if he is found guilty of murder, he could face the penalty of death.
Dripps is expected to appear in court again on November 4 for a status hearing. A trial date will then be set.
