111 new COVID-19 cases in the area
SOUTHEAST IDAHO (KIFI/KIDK) - Local health officials reported 111 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday.
Southeastern Idaho Public Health has 73 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.
There are 21 new cases in Bannock County, 35 in Bingham County, 1 in Butte County, 2 in Caribou County, 3 in Franklin County and 11 in Power County.
This brings the total of confirmed and probable cases to 1899.
Out of the 1899 cases, 1440 have recovered from COVID-19.

Eastern Idaho Public Health reported 38 new cases Tuesday. There are 25 new cases in Bonneville, 7 in Jefferson, 5 in Madison and 1 in Teton. There are a total of 300 active cases. You can view more HERE.
EIPH COVID-19 risk level monitor has four categories: minimal, moderate, high and critical. Bonneville, Custer, Jefferson and Teton Counties are in the Moderate Risk Category.
Clark, Fremont, Lemhi and Madison Counties are in the Minimal Risk Category.
An order of restriction in Bonneville was amended on August 6 and states the following in regard to gatherings, “Social gatherings and events, both public and private, are restricted to a maximum occupancy in the venue that provides for approximately 28 square feet per person (area of a 3 foot radius) based on the area patrons and gathering/event staff, participants, and/or performers will be situated for the gathering/event. It is required that physical distancing of at least 6 feet be maintained between non-household members while seated/positioned at the gathering/event. Gathering/event organizers must ensure physical distancing be maintained at ticket booths, entrances, exits, restrooms, concessions, or any other locations within the venue.”
EIPH covers Bonneville, Clark. Custer, Fremont, Jefferson, Lemhi, Madison and Teton counties.
To help prevent the spread of this virus, it is more important than ever that the public follows the following prevention methods.
• Follow Governor Little’s Statewide Stay-Healthy Idaho Order at
rebound.idaho.gov.
• Wear cloth face coverings in public places.
• Practice social distancing (6ft).
• Stay home if you are sick.
• Avoid people who are sick.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
• Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or your sleeve when you cough or sneeze.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and objects that may be contaminated with germs using a disinfecting solution.
