Idaho Falls Man Dies In Blackfoot Crash
An accident on Interstate 15 near Blackfoot claimed the life an Idaho Falls man Sunday evening.
Idaho State Police report Francisco Lazalde, 86, died when his car rolled at about 6 p.m. near milepost 95.
Troopers said for unknown reasons his vehicle went off the right shoulder and hit a fallen tree, causing the car to flip and roll into a canal.
Lazalde was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the roads were wet, but clear at the time of the accident. Lazalde was wearing his seatbelt, they said.
The crash is still under investigation.
