Local Group Looking For Service Space

A group of community service volunteers is looking for space to complete their work.

The Idaho Falls Humanitarian Council spends Wednesday of every week making and preparing various items the local community needs.

An average of 150 volunteers work on toys, blankets, care packages and even clothing.

Primarily an LDS-prominent organization, volunteers say they’re looking to expand into an inter-faith group and are looking for a facility with a ready workroom that could operate several days a week.

“Those who come to serve others are benefited themselves and their lives are blessed as a result of the service they provide to others,” said Dwight Whittaker, council president.

If you are interested in joining the council or know of a space the volunteers can relocate to, you can contact them at 208-529-5517.
