3 LifeFlighted To PMC After Crash

Three people from Ririe were LifeFlighted to Portneuf Medical Center after a crash on Interstate 15 Saturday afternoon.

Steve Preston, 32, was driving north on I-15 near the Portneuf Road exit when police say he lost control of his car, ran off the road and flipped his car. Police say he was “messing with his radio.”

His passenger, 18-year-old Amanda Heairet, was ejected from the car. The second passenger, 77-year-old Ronald Preston, and the driver were trapped inside the car and needed to be extricated, police said.

Police said their injuries are not life threatening and no one was wearing a seat belt.

The crash forced the closure of I-15 immediately after the crash.
