3 Rescued After Small Airplane Crash In SW Idaho

An Army National Guard helicopter on Sunday plucked a husband and wife and their adult daughter from a remote area in Owyhee County in southwest Idaho after their small airplane crashed.

Owyhee County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher Bev White says the last person came out about 2 p.m. and each was transferred to a medical helicopter and flown to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise where they were listed in stable condition.

Authorities identified the three as Brian Brown of Wilton, Calif., his wife Jayann Brown, and their daughter. Her name was not available.

White says the plane began its journey in California but stopped in Rome, Ore., and was destined for Mountain Home, Idaho.

White says someone in the plane reported the crash on a cellphone shortly after midnight.
