Chamber Plans Citywide Cleanup

The Pocatello Chamber of Commerce is highlighting the Gate City’s natural landscape.

This Saturday, the Beautification Committee will be hosting a city-wide clean-up.

Volunteers will spread out through Pocatello and pick-up trash, but not before getting a free breakfast at the Old Town Pavillion.

Committee member Mark Dahlquist said Saturday’s efforts will go a long way toward generating summer tourism.

“There’s going to be lots of visitors showing up during the summer months, so let’s just put our best foot forward and roll up our sleeves and make Pocatello look real great and be proud of where we live,” Dahlquist said.

The cleanup starts at 8 a.m. at the Old Town Pavilion. The Beautification Committee will take volunteers until 10 a.m.
