Police: Pickup fire was arson

A fire that damaged a 2002 Toyota truck late Wednesday night was arson, the Idaho Falls Police Department said.

Officers responded to a vehicle fire at 10th and Division just after midnight on Thursday. Just before midnight, a passerby noticed the vehicle fire and extinguished it with a nearby hose.

The fire appeared to have been started by someone, police said. They do not have a suspect at this time.

Damage to the truck is estimated at $1,000.
