Woman arrested kicking and screaming in ER, say police
An Idaho Falls woman is behind bars on a long list of charges, including felony assault on an officer, after an incident at a hospital over the weekend.
Officers responded to the emergency room of Eastern Idaho Medical Center for a reported theft. Angelique Usuzette Swinney, 36, had taken various medical supplies from the ER, police said. Swinney was also found in possession hydrocodone without a prescription. The hydrocodone was not from the hospital.
According to a news release, when police tried to arrest her, Swinney became uncooperative and was kicking and screaming. She also attempted to bite the officers, police. Due to her violence and to prevent hurting herself or the other officers, she was Tased, according to IFPD.
In addition to the felony assault charge, Swinney was arrested on charges of petty theft, possession of a prescription drug without a prescription, disturbing the peace, obstructing and resisting an officer.
She was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
