Home burns in Power County

Firefighters responding to trailer home that was fully engulfed by flames Thursday night had troubles of their own.

Power County dispatch received a 911 call of the fire on Gas Plant Road at 10:30 p.m.

Emergency crews found the home was fully engulfed when they arrived. The American Falls Rural Fire Department, Chubbuck Fire Department, Power County Sheriff’s Office and Fort Hall Fire department responded, along with a Fort Hall Fish and Game officer.

A Chubbuck fire truck responding to the blaze rolled on an Interstate 86 onramp in Chubbuck at about 11 p.m. when the water in the tanks shifted. The occupants of the truck were taken to Portneuf Regional Medical Center in Pocatello for treatment.

The ISP is still investigating the crash.

Fire investigators are still looking into the cause of the blaze. The home was a total loss. No one was hurt in the fire.
