Police want public help to find missing Rigby band teacher

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office is trying to find a band teacher who was reported missing this weekend.

William “Bill” Algeo Weed III was last seen at Rigby High School on Friday around 11 p.m. after a concert at Idaho State University. He was reported missing Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

The sheriff’s office said it has reports that Weed may have been seen at a gas station in Rigby on Friday and at the Ammon Walmart on Saturday around 9 p.m. According to a news release, Weed might have gone to Salt Lake City to visit the zoo or fly to West Virginia, where he grew up.

Weed’s biography on the Rigby High School website says he has taught music at the school for more than a decade.

The sheriff’s office said it has “attempt-to-locates” out in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Utah.

Weed was driving a maroon Honda CRV, with license plate No. 8B CY167.

Weed is 5′ 10″, 200 pounds, has gray hair, brown eyes and wears glasses.

“At this time, we would just like to check on Mr. Weed’s welfare,” the sheriff’s office said in the news release.

If you see him, call deputies at (208) 529-1200 or via Crime Stoppers at 522-1983.
