New businesses open in Idaho Falls and Ammon

It appears to be a good time for new-business openings around Idaho Falls and Ammon. Owner and creator of the new Sweeto Burrito, John Pierre Francia said their mobile food truck is anything but trailer food.

Parked on the corner of Hitt Road and Sunnyside, the 30-foot mega kitchen on wheels serves one-of-kind creations.

“You’ve got a sweet pork and a seasoned ground beef, then you’ve got a buffalo chicken wing burritos, bacon cheeseburger burritos, Thai curry burritos, Asian coconut barbecue chicken burritos; smoked chicken chunky bacon onion ring, cilantro cheddar cheese and ranch burritos,” said Pierre-Francia.

Pierre-Francia worked in advertising prior to opening the mobile food truck. He and his brother, a professionally trained chef, put their talents together to create Sweeto Burrito. They started in North Dakota and after a slow year they decided to move their business back home to Idaho Falls. Pierra-Francia said the struggles from their first year were worth it.

“You know what I love? I have always loved making yummy food and I’ve always loved getting feedback from friends and family saying ‘oh that’s awesome.’ Now I get that everyday, all day long. People freak out about our food!” said Pierre-Francia.

Sweeto Burrito has plans to open a brick and mortar shop in the spring.
Just across the street from Sweeto Burrito, you can shop for bridal wear without breaking your budget.
