BYUI to graduate largest class yet
Brigham Young University-Idaho will graduate its largest class ever during fall commencement ceremonies in Rexburg on Friday.
The university will award 709 associate degrees and 1,228 bachelor’s degrees.
Of the graduates, 1,156 are female and 753 are male. About 45 percent have served as missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which owns the school.
Keynote commencement speaker will be Rosemary M. Wixom, general president of the church Primary. She will be accompanied by Roger B. Christensen, assistant to the commissioner of the Church Educational System.
The event will begin at 5:45 p.m. in the BYU-Idaho Center.
