Bingham County man being evaluated after incident at Riverview Elementary
A Bingham County man is being evaluated after creating a disturbance at Riverview Elementary School near Shelley on Wednesday.
Shelley School Superintendent Bryan Jolley said an “unruly parent was disrupting the learning environment” in the front office of the school and was asked by a school administrator to leave.
Bingham County Sheriff Dave Johnson said the unidentified man voiced concern about visitation rights involving his child, but did leave the school as directed and returned to his apartment.
Johnson said the man was apparently off his prescribed medications and may have been using meth.
The man was not formally charged pending a mental health evaluation.
