Fremont and Clark Counties close Red Road
Fremont and Clark County Commissioners have closed the Red Road between Egin and Hamer for the winter. The closure, effective December 21, comes eleven days earlier than originally scheduled.
Commissioners said they took the action because snow has created hazardous driving conditions, particularly on the Clark County side of the road.
The road was scheduled to close January 1st. In cooperation with the Idaho Fish and Game Department, that closure is aimed at protecting wintering wildlife in the region.
