Pocatello police seek public help identifying suspect

Pocatello police are seeking public help to identify and locate a burglary suspect.

One or more burglars broke into the Ward Oil Sinclair station at 2530 S. 4th Ave. in the early morning hours of Jan. 16 by breaking out a back window.

Seventeen lottery tickets and several packs of cigarettes were taken. Later that morning a young male presented some of the stolen tickets to a clerk at the Common Cents store at 1010 N. Arthur Ave. Surveillance cameras caught the suspect attempting to cash in the tickets.

The subject was described as a clean-shaven young male, approximately 5′ 8″ to 5′ 9″ tall, with brown hair, and wearing a black hoodie. The man also appeared to have a fresh cut above his right eyebrow.

Anyone with information about the burglary is encouraged to contact Pocatello police detectives at (208) 234-6121 or emergency dispatch at 234-6100.
