Kids in need to get free dental care
The American Dental Association is kicking off its 10th annual Give Kids a Smile on Friday.
The goal of the program is to provide free dental services to uninsured and low-income children.
In eastern Idaho, 33 dental offices in nine counties will be participating.
Last year the program helped 563 children to receive dental care. That’s about $160,000 in free dental care for children.
“We’ll have an opportunity for children to come in and receive dental care it can be preventative care, whether it could be for cleaning exam, fluoride, sealants or fillings for cavities that need to be done,” said orthodontist Phillip Lowder.
