Idaho Falls convenience store robbed

Idaho Falls police are searching for a male suspect after a convenience store robbery late Wednesday night.

It happened at the Common Cents store at 1940 W. Broadway around 11:15 p.m.

Police say the armed suspect was dressed in all black with his face covered and had a gun. A female clerk was the only person in the store at the time.

Police say the suspect is between 5 foot 9 and 5 foot 10 with a slim build. He is believed to be 25 to 30 years of age and was wearing all black with a hoodie and mask covering his face.

According to police reports, a store employee stated the man demanded cash from the register. He then lifted his shirt to show her a handgun tucked into the front of his waist band.

The robber left the store on foot and was last seen heading west with an undisclosed amount of cash.
