Idaho Falls selects city attorney

Idaho Falls’ new city attorney comes from elsewhere in the Gem State.

According to a news release from the City of Moscow, Randy Fife submitted his resignation following his acceptance of the city attorney position with the City of Idaho Falls. Fife’s resignation will be effective March 15, and he will begin his new job in Idaho Falls on April 1.

The other finalists for the Idaho Falls job were Battelle Energy Alliance Senior Legal Counsel Reed Andrus and Boyd Hawkins, the managing member of his own Utah law firm. Bonneville County Prosecutor Bruce Pickett was also in the running, but withdrew his name late last month.

Fife had worked with the City of Moscow for 16 years.
