Man accused of murder pleads not guilty
The man accused in the shooting death of Kristy Aschliman pleaded not guilty in court Wednesday morning.
Adan Arroyo, 22, of Blackfoot, is facing a charge of first-degree murder.
Deputies said Arroyo fired the four shots that killed 21-year-old Aschliman on Jan. 19 on Lincoln Road east of Idaho Falls.
District Judge Jon Shindurling denied Arroyo’s request for bond Wednesday.
County Prosecutor Bruce Pickett said the state hasn’t decided whether to seek the death penalty for Arroyo.
Arroyo’s pretrial has been set for late July.
