Casino bomb threat causes more evacuations

Another bomb threat led to more evacuations at Fort Hall on Friday.

A threat to the Fort Hall Casino Building was called in at the main casino switch board, which prompted the evacuation of patrons and employees at the Fort Hall Casino as well structures within a quarter mile of the perimeter which include Trading Post, Enterprise Gas Station, Hotel and Event center, and various residences. Exit 80 off Interstate 15 was also blocked.

All patrons and employees from the surrounding business were relocated to the Shoshone-Bannock Justice Center.

This is the second bomb threat this week on the reservation. The first, which occurred Wednesday, prompted theevacuation of people working in buildings within a quarter mile of the building Tribal Business Center.

Various state and local police agencies were responding to the threat Friday, including the FBI. K9 units were helping in the search for the alleged bomb.
