Man arrested in Chubbuck bomb threat
A man was arrested in connection to the bomb threat that caused an evacuation of the Chubbuck Walmart on Sunday.
Brian J. Lavatta, 23, of Pocatello, was arrested Wednesday morning on a felony charge of false report of explosives in a public place. Police are not commenting on what they believe Lavatta’s motive was.
Chubbuck police said they were helped by Pocatello police and the Chubbuck Fire Department in the investigation. They also expressed appreciation to Walmart customers and employees for their help during the evacuation.
