Copper wire stolen from Idaho Falls Power

The Idaho Falls Police Department is investigating the theft of copper wire and brass connectors from two Idaho Falls Power substations.

Idaho Falls Power reported that sometime in the last few weeks an unknown suspect or suspects stole 144 feet of copper ground wire and about 80 brass connectors off a perimeter fence at the Milligan Substation and the Sugar Mill Substation, police said in a news release Tuesday.

There are no suspects at this time.
