Idaho Falls home burns

A fire broke out in the basement of an Idaho Falls home Monday morning.

The fire happened at 1005 Hemlock.

Neighbors gather and watched smoke coming from the window.

Firefighters quickly arrived to the home around 2:30 a.m.

An official on scene say the homeowner got out of the house safely.

Firefighters were able to contain the flames to the basement, but there is smoke damage throughout the house.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No further information was available Monday.
