Non-profit gives to kids
A nonprofit called Computers for Kids Inc. helped kids stay connected Friday. The organization gave away hundreds of computers to kids and schools in need.
The computers are refurbished and then sold at a discounted price. Some were even free for those who qualified for low-income assistance.
The organization received donations from big companies, like Micron and Westmark Credit Union, in addition private contributions from individuals.
CFK’s Jason Feldsted said the group is all about the advancement of kids and their education.
“Well, nowadays the kids need it. Everything they do in school nowadays is pretty much on computers. The world is revolving around technology,” said Feldsted.
The nonprofit serves all of Idaho, going to a different city every month. It said soon it will branch out to Nevada as well.
