Spectator dies after falling at BYU football game
A spectator died after collapsing near the start of Friday night’s BYU-Middle Tennessee football game in Provo.
Police say a man in his 70s was standing in the north section of LaVell Edwards Stadium when he fell and hit his head on the concrete.
Paramedics responded to the scene and took the man to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The Daily Herald of Provo reports the man had a health condition, and police say there was nothing suspicious about the death.
His name was not immediately released.
The man was attending the game with his wife.
