Pocatello man wins big in lottery

A Pocatello man is $50,000 richer after winning the last top prize on the Scratch GameTM Fantasy Blackjack on Thursday.

Brian Williams bought the ticket at the Maverik on Alameda in Pocatello. The store will get a bonus of $5,000 from the Idaho Lottery.

Also on Thursday, in Bellevue, Sonia Landeros of Hailey won $100,000 in the Idaho Lottery Scratch GameTM 10x the Money.

“We’ve seen a lot of activity and enthusiasm not for only our Scratch Games in the past two weeks, but also for the Mega Millions jackpot which is $270 million for tonight’s draw,” said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery director, in a news release Friday. “We’re encouraging everyone to play responsibly and to sign their tickets prior to presenting them for payment.”
