Third man arrested in January fight
A third man has been arrested in connection with a January assault at the Peppertree Lounge in Idaho Falls.
According to reports, a Bonneville County Sheriff’s deputy arrested 23-year-old Alex D.S. Ruiz of Lewisville on an Idaho Falls Police Department warrant for aggravated battery.
Two Idaho Falls men were arrested on warrants March 6 on charges of aggravated battery after allegedly attacking a man at the Peppertree Lounge in January.
Police said Amando Ruiz, 23, and Edgar G. Barrientos-Ruiz, 24, assaulted a 36-year-old man “with fists, feet and beer bottles” Jan. 24.
The victim was taken by taxi to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center to be treated for injuries. He reported the incident to police while he was at EIRMC.
