4 fires burn in eastern Idaho
This is southwest of the upper end of the Palisades Reservoir. The fire is burning 5 to 10 acres in the backcountry between Black Mountain and Caribou Mountain. Crews are using helicopters to fight this fire.
Presto Fire
This 700-acre fire is in the Wolverine area, 10 miles east of Firth.
Hillside Fire
This is on the northeast corner of the Fort Hall Indian Reservation and is burning half an acre. The fire was contained at 6 p.m.
Juniper Fire
This fire is about 1 mile southeast of the Hillside Fire. It is burning 100 acres. Firefighters are also fighting this blaze from the air.
As of Friday afternoon, fire danger was listed as high in the Idaho Falls, Pocatello and Snake River Plain areas, and moderate in the mountains.
