Toys for Tots needs donations

Usually those with Toys for Tots are the ones helping people out, but now the charity is asking for help.

“I don’t want to say ‘begging’ but we can’t give out what we don’t have,” said Dan Suciu, Toys for Tots coordinator.

According to organizers, people have been very generous, but the program still needs gifts to fill about 200 more applications. It need gifts for boys and girls between ages 8 and 14.

“It’s not just one application per child, it’s one application, maybe five or six children on the same application,” said Suciu.

Cash donations are also accepted. That money is used to buy gifts for kids in need.

Donations can be dropped off at the Toys for Tots headquarters or at local stores with drop boxes.
