Teton Valley man pleads guilty to rape of his stepdaughter

A Teton Valley man pleaded guilty in Teton County, Idaho district court Tuesday to charges of rape.

Marcos Narvaez-Zamora was arrested in August for the rape of his then 12-year-old stepdaughter.

Teton County Deputy Prosecutor Christopher Lundberg said law enforcement became involved when the girl’s mother took her in for a pregnancy test. The test proved positive.

The girl has since given birth and is physically well.

Narvaez-Zamora will appear for sentencing before District Judge Greg Moeller on February 2, 2016.

The rape charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison and a $50,000 fine.
