Pilot OK after small plane crashes into Great Salt Lake
Police say a pilot flying a small plane has crashed into Utah’s Great Salt Lake but was rescued by a Utah State Parks boat.
Unified Police Lt. Brian Lohrke says the pilot was the only person aboard the plane. He says the pilot in good condition after the crash and did not require much medical attention.
Lohrke says the crash happened early Thursday afternoon and a rescue boat from a nearby marina was able to quickly bring the pilot aboard.
Lohrke had no details about the pilot, the pilot’s trip or the cause of the crash.
