UPDATE: Pocatello armed robbery suspect arrested in Bingham Co
Update 10/26/16: Villasenor was officially charged on Wednesday by Pocatello police. He is charged with one count of robbery and one count of a felon in possession of a firearm.
No court appearances have been scheduled yet in Bannock County.
Original Story: The man wanted for an armed robbery in Pocatello is now in police custody. Arnulfo William Villasenor was arrested in Bingham County Monday night.
Villasenor is wanted by Pocatello Police for the armed robbery of the K & B Kwik Stop convenience store on Pershing Street.
According to police, Villasenor walked into the Kwik Stop Monday afternoon around 3 p.m. Police said he demanded money from the clerk. Police said he used a handgun and a single shot was fired. No one was injured.
Villasenor fled the scene, but eyewitnesses were able to give police a description of Villasenor and the red pickup truck he was driving. One eyewitness also provided police with a license plate number, allowing police to find him.
Villasenor was later arrested after a pursuit in Bingham County Monday night. He is charged in Bingham County with eluding an officer, possession of a controlled substance, open container, and driving without privileges.
Charges are pending in Bannock County for the robbery.
Pocatello police did not say how much money Villasenor took from the store. The robbery is still under investigation.
