Three transported to hospital after crash on I-15

Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash northbound on Interstate 15 at milepost 71 near the Pocatello Creek exit around 4:43 p.m. Wednesday.

According to ISP, 49-year-old Blaine Nite of Rexburg was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Impala when he slowed for traffic and was rear-ended by a minor driver in a 1999 Toyota Camry. The collision spun the Impala into the left lane and was then hit by a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe being driven by 31-year-old Amanda Scherbinske of Blackfoot.

One person was transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center, and two other people were transported by private vehicle to Bingham Memorial Hospital.

ISP reports all persons involved in the crash were wearing their seat belts.
