Wyoming lawmakers approve biennial budget

The Wyoming Legislature ended its budget session Thursday in Cheyenne.

Lawmakers ultimately passed 142 bills, out of 330 bills and resolutions numbered for introduction at the start of the session February 12. 71 of those bills passed both the House and Senate.

Governor Matt Mead signed the state’s $8.63 billion biennial budget bill Wednesday.

Legislators have already begun to prepare for the the Legislature’s Sixty-fifth general session beginning January 8, 2019. The legislature’s Management Council expects to finalize interim committee topics by April 19.
