Rexburg hosts statewide app roadshow
A statewide app development roadshow was held today consisting of 20 cities across Idaho. Inspire Idaho offers Idahoans a chance to learn technology and train at no cost through the land grant extension offices.
The initiative’s purpose is to promote learning, educate on app development, learn programming, and motivate those across Idaho to join the increasing app economy.
Representatives from Innovation Collective, The University of Idaho, and experts in Apple’s “Swift” programming language were there to educate through hands-on demos, playground products, and personal codes.
“There are pockets of tremendous prosperity in Idaho, but there are a lot of folks who have been left behind. and so our goal is by working with the university of Idaho, working with Apple, we can bring in a new skill set for people who have otherwise been left behind. And that is our heart, and that is our goal, and we have industry partners who pull that off,” said Bryan Wright of Innovation Collective.
Organizers are hoping this will help Idahoans to build apps and technology, and allow them to immerse themselves in opportunities that are available.
