Local Subways team with Meals on Wheels

Subway restaurants in Idaho Falls teamed up with the Meals on Wheels program to provide meals to senior citizens.

From September 3 to 30, customers of Subway have been able to round up their change to the nearest dollar. It is all to benefit Idaho Falls Senior Citizens Community Center.

Thursday, Subway donated subs to Idaho Falls senior citizens as part of their delivery.

Those who work at the center say its donation really does help a lot.

“It’s actually very exciting because we’re non-profit, so we’re all based on donations and grants,” said Sarah Ryner of Idaho Falls Senior Citizens Community Center and Meals on Wheels. “Having Subway provide a meal for the day relives some of the cost of providing food.”

Meals on Wheels say it delivers to about more than 200 senior citizens each day.
