Afton student dies in accident
The Lincoln County School District in Afton, Wyoming reports a 9th-grade student died from an accident on Wednesday. Ryder Haderlie was a student at Star Valley High School.
The district offered no other details about the incident.
In a Facebook posting, the district said a Crisis Intervention Team, comprised of professionals and trained to help with the needs of students, parents, and school personnel was activated after the incident. Counselors were made available to any student wanting assistance in dealing with the loss.
“We are saddened by the loss to our school community and will make every effort to help your child as needed,” said the statement.
The district posted information for parents to help their children cope with the situation.
